LEADING DISABILITY EMPLOYER SEAL
The NOD Leading Disability Employer Seal™ is a public recognition applauding organizations that are leading the way in disability inclusion and tapping into the many benefits of hiring talent with disabilities, including high rates of productivity and dedication, and greater employee engagement across the workforce.
ABOUT WINNING THE SEAL
The Leading Disability Employer Seal is awarded based on performance on the Employment Tracker™ — NOD’s free and confidential benchmarking survey.
METHODOLOGY
While the Tracker is entirely confidential, organizations may opt to be considered for the Leading Disability Employer Seal. Responses are scored, taking into account both disability employment practices and performance. Scoring prioritizes practices that are associated with increased disability employment outcomes over time, in addition to current performance in disability employment. Respondents also receive points based on the percentage of people with disabilities in their workforce.
Celebratory Dinner
The winning organizations were announced at NOD’s Corporate Leadership Council Annual Forum, presented by platinum-level sponsors Prudential Financial, Spectrum and Target. The inspiring two-hour webcast entitled, “ADA at 30: What’s Next?”, addressed the challenges and opportunities of building a more disability inclusive society in the midst of the global pandemic and the fight for social and economic justice in our country.. The event also featured actors and disability advocates Danny Woodburn (Seinfeld) and Robert David Hall (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), plus activists Judith Heumann and Lex Frieden, Sen. Bob Casey, Gov. Tom Ridge and Prudential Financial’s CEO and Chairman Charles F. Lowrey, among many others.
